We weren't feeling too confident about connecting with this species as we approached the desert but after agreeing a price with a friendly local for GUARANTEED desert sparrow our spirits were lifted...
It was about £30 (our most expensive night by far!) and we had a good room for the night, 4 course dinner, breakfast, camel ride and last but not least a quad bike ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes to a Bedouin camp that a population of about 15 desert sparrow called home!
