Mallorca 2010

I spent a week in Mallorca at the end of August and although it wasn't a birding holiday I managed to get out in the evenings to do some local photography. The most common bird by far around the apartment was spotted flycatcher with several adults feeding fledged young. I spent lots of time trying to get a different array of photos;

Making short work of a wasp...

I also had lots of sightings of Hoopoe and Sardinian warbler but only manged pictures of the latter;

male:female:
Serins were elusive but could always be heard nearby:
There we some interesting invertibrates about too including this cool looking spider, horrendous wasp and locust nymph;
